My past research explored the impacts of an urban pollution event on the health and fitness of urban-dwelling songbird species. Age-related variation in heavy metal consumption and its comparative effect on juvenile migration success were investigated. At OSU, my research focuses on reverberations of drought and the stress physiology of shorebirds. How drought will impact shorebird health and fitness in the long-term and the subsequent consequences on migration success are currently being investigated.
