Bio:

My group studies the process of evolution using controlled laboratory experiments. We are interested in fundamental questions such as:

i) Is evolution predictable?
ii) How do populations adapt to long-term environmental stresses?
iii) What are the best strategies for identifying genotypes underlying complex traits, such as aging?

To address these questions, we primarily use the model organism Saccharomyces cerevisiae (yeast). Current projects in the lab integrate approaches in molecular biology, microbiology, and genomics. Visit my lab's website for details.
