I work with Red Sided Garter snakes (Thamnophis sirtalis parietalis) in Professor Robert Mason's lab. I am interested in the genetic and transcriptional basis of thermal tolerance and its role in hibernation and reproduction in garter snakes as well as rapid evolutionary responses to climate change. I have also worked with marine macro algae, oysters, salamanders, coral, crayfish, and curriculum development. I have a wide range of interests in biology, and I enjoy sharing what I have learned with others.
