The Student Genomics Computer Lab has two high-performance desktop computers for genomics (primarily high-throughput DNA sequence data) analysis. The computers have the CLC Genomics Workbench software loaded, which provides a user-friendly (point and click) application for diverse applications such as genome assembly (de novo and reference-guided), SNP mapping, and RNA-Seq analysis.
The computer lab is overseen by the Denver lab in the Zoology department, and Dana Howe is the primary manager and contact person for this space. Dana is assisted by an undergraduate, Levi Dettwyler, in the coordination and management of this space.
[this needs some statement as to who can use the space -- when it's available -- or simply the contact information for Dana with something like: If you are interested in using the Student Genomics Computer Lab please contact: xxx]
