Reuben Biel, (conferred )

I study Pacific Northwest sand dunes, and I specifically explore how invasive beach grasses build sand dunes, modify the ecosystem, and provide coastal protection in the Pacific Northwest. My research further explores how rising temperatures and changes to winter storm intensity may impact Pacific Northwest sand dunes and nearby coastal communities.
